Thursday, July 21st 7-11pm WeWork presented the “Beauty for Freedom Block Party” at WeWork SoHo West Hosted by Beauty for Freedom, Celebrity Stylist/Entrepreneur Ty Hunter and produced by BFF Ambassador Suwana Perry, Musical Director Paco Lampecinado of MusicIsMuse, Monica Watkins, Candice Fortin and CTM Sisters Productions. The Block Party was a fundraiser for the Beauty for Freedom Arts Empowerment Initiative Project India, a workshop series created for the survivors of sex trafficking and at-risk youth of New Light Kolkata November 2016 led by teaching artists Jules Kim, Alessandro Simonetti, Suwana Perry, Ashley Ramos, Whisbe Art, Pei Jung Wang, Monica Watkins, Scarlett Etienne, Tangina Stone and Karen Francis.The workshop series is meant to help the youth and survivors creatively express themselves through arts therapy while discovering their potential, learning about and embracing their inner beauty and increasing their self-esteem.

Featured performances for the BFF Block Party included DJ Lindsey Caldwell, RCA Records recording star and Clive Davis protégé Avery Wilson, Brooklyn-based band The Skins and singer/songwriter Tangina Stone. Art auction Items were provided by world-renowned street artists Bradley Theodore and Whisbe Art and photographer Shaun Mader. BAKED provided signature BFF Cupcakes with 100% proceeds donated to Project India.
