Beauty for Freedom is honored to announce that “Illuminate”, our children’s photography book featuring the incredible photographs of the youth of  Newlight Kolkata has a brilliant feature in better photography this month!
The photography workshops Beauty for Freedom taught to the youth of New Light Kolkata in India culminated in a photography book called “ILLUMINATE”, a collection of photographs created by young survivors of trafficking and at-risk youth in Kolkata, India that engaged the youth to visualize their community of Kalighat—West Bengal, Kolkata, India (red light district) in an empowered way. During our Beauty for Freedom photography workshop series with the youth, we promoted self-esteem and self-expression and “Illuminate” is a reflection of that.
