Art Meets Fashion Exhibition at St. Francis College

Beauty for Freedom and BK Style Foundation presented “Art Meets Fashion”, an exhibition featuring the works of artists Austin Phelps and Shawn Punch, April 16-30th at the Callahan Center Art Gallery at St. Francis College Brooklyn (182 Remsen St, Brooklyn, NY). The Opening Reception will be held Monday, April 24th 6-9pm at the Callahan Hall Art and Event Center. Curated by Monica Watkins, Founder/Executive Director/Creative Director of NYC Anti-Trafficking organization

Beauty for Freedom, and Rick Davy, Founder and Executive Director of BK Style Foundation, Art Meets Fashion explores the concepts of empowered beauty, conscious fashion and a stronger definition of beauty in female form. The dynamic experience, impact and art created as a result of “Art Meets Fashion” really demonstrates the immersive power of Art and how it is a vehicle for social change, humanity, positive body imagery and diversity in fashion as illustrated by Austin Phelps’ series of abstract expressionist paintings and Shawn Punch’s pencil drawings on display.
